Random Pictures

This post is just random pictures from the summer. We had a busy summer and I forgot to post these pictures.

I forgot to even mention the Bybee reunion. We didn't take a lot of picture is why I didn't mention it and  I just barely upload the picture off my camera. This year we went to Lava Hot Springs. The guys and Gabe floated the river. It looked like a lot of fun. We camped and played games. It was a blast!

Also this summer we went to the zoo. My friend has a pass so we got in free. Maxten really liked it this time because he knew the animals and was excited to see them.

This is Maxten little friend. Cute kid!

A week later after the Snedaker reunion. Some of the cousins came back to Rexburg for a day or two. Maxten loved it. He loves Sadie. They played dress up and dance around. It was the cutest thing ever. Even if my son is wearing a dress.

For Labor day we decided to do our own thing and go for a mountain bike ride up by mesa falls. Maxten was scared of falls, but loved the bike ride.

Snedaker Family Reunion

This year family reunion was so much fun. It was pack full of fun activities and good food. The first activity that we did was a un-birthday party. We had a bubble gum chewing contest, balloon relays, marshmallow eating contest, and a present exchange. It was so much fun.

All the kiddos getting ready to open presents. 14 kids under the age 8, it was a house full.

Balloon Stomp: You try and pop the other person balloon. It was funny to watch everyone attach each other.

Cousin taught Maxten to make funny faces for the camera.

One of the days we had a priness tea (lemonade) party. That was what I was in charge of. I made the cute little paper shoes and got all the decorations. It turn out so good. We did the little girls hair, nails, make-up, the got all dressed up in their princess dresses. We dance, read princess stories, and played pretty pretty princess. Here's the pretty princesses!

One of the other days we made crafts. The little kids made the little pumpkin jars and the mothers painted the wooden boo's. Then that night we had a halloween party. We did a cake walk, decorated apple slices, and had a donut eating contest.

This year our theme for our costumes was Toy Story. Corbin was buzz, I was Zurg, and Maxten was Woody. I made the costumes and I was reminded that making costume is crazy and a lot of work.

One of the other days we held a Snedaker Olympic Games. We all had to make a movie and tell everyone a little about us. Everyones movies were so creative and different. We had a good laugh. We also had to make a flag. This is our lovely flag.

We all got t-shirts and now that's one of the shirt Maxten wants to wear all the time.

The whole gang.

The competition was not easy. The hardest challenge was a Biathlon, you rode your bikes about a 2 block then got off the bike and ran to a air-soft gun. It didn't sound too hard, but I got off the bike to run I fell down. I stood back up and fell down again. Just from how fast I was riding the bike when I got off to run my legs wanted to keep riding the bikes. It was funny!

Here is the kids taking a turn at it.

Another day we went rock climbing. Maxten climb so good. I thought he would be scared and not want to try it but he did most of the climb by himself. He was so cute!

Trying to be like the big boys!

We also did a talent show. I don't have any pictures but we did music through the ages.  Maxten was dressed up as Elvis, Corbin was Michael Jackson and I was Miley Cyrus. It was fun to see all th wonderful talents everyone had and there creativity.

Thank you everyone for a very fun and exciting reunion. It was so good to see everyone and get caught up. Your a great family!

Busy Summer

Sorry about the long post but I have been a little behind on my blogging. This summer has been crazy busy. There has only been one weekend that we didn't have something planned and that was yesterday, although the day was filled up by putting a new water heater in the house. So here it is our busy summer.

In the first part of June Corbin's oldest niece was baptized. We forgot our camera so I don't have any pictures but it was a beautiful day and we are so grateful she made that decision. Way to go Alyssa!

My sister-in-law Jeni is the program director at Krupp (Cub Scout Camp). This year is her last semester of college and she had to take classes on Tues and Thurs. So I have been filling in for her on those days. It's been a lot fun but makes for a busy day.

Second weekend in June I got to go with Corbin to the 11 year old camp out. I didn't stay the night but I went up for the day as a second leader. His scouts are so much fun. Although, I don't think Corbin and I are good leaders. I think we act more like the scouts. All I know is we had good laughs and made it fun.

Third week of June was my birthday. Corbin let me go on a shopping spree and get my hair cut. It was a wonderful birthday.

Fourth week of June we went to Sun Valley for Corbin Edward Jones work meeting. It was a blast! Sun Valley is so pretty. We went swimming and played games. Maxten played with his skateboards and loved just being outside all the time. Again I forgot to take pictures but it was fun to get to know other FA's in the area.

First week in July Maxten started swimming lessons. He did not like it at first. The water was so cold. I had a hard time going sometimes too. But we stuck it out and he got to where he was getting more and more confident in the water. The doctor told us that we should not put his head under water without ear plugs. So on the last day we put them in and he went under. He did not like that very much, that was the last thing we did so hopefully he will want to go swimming again. He did do good and we are proud of him. He went from me holding him the whole time to jumping off the diving board. Just look at Maxten and not my fat body.

Grandpa Bybee has wanted to take Maxten fishing for a long time and Lone Pine had a free kids fishing day. So while I was doing a garage sale Corbin took Maxten fishing. They caught zero fish and Corbin was reminded of how much he dislikes fishing.

Fourth of July Parade

Yes we live in Rexburg, only in Rexburg you would be wearing a sweatshirt on the fourth.
He was excited to get the candy.

That evening we went to my parents house and watched a movie in the backyard. Then when it was dark we lit fireworks. Maxten really liked them.

On Monday the 5th we went on a little hike in the Tetons to go rock climbing. Maxten was so excited to hike up the trail by himself. We saw a snake and Maxten kept saying Mommy snake scary. It was cute! (Maxten not the snake).

Then this weekend we have they Bybee Reunion and the week after that is the Snedaker reunion. I will try to remember to take pictures. I hope all of you are having a wonderful summer as well.

Wow I haven't posted for a while, this one is a long one!

My cute little guy who is not this small anymore. Brothers matching. Maxten always wants to where what his brother is wearing. More o...
