This one is my favorite!

Training For The 1/2 Triathlon and 1/2 Marathon

Kristie, my sister-in-law talked me into training with her for the 1/2 Marathon. We have been running, swimming, and bike riding. After going swimming I thought to myself "I could do the 1/2 Triathlon as well" I have always wanted to do the triathlon but I was scared of the swimming portion. I have never really swam laps but last week I swam the whole 1/2 mile. Then I went this week and did just a couple of laps more. We went bike riding this week and went 6 miles pulling 4 kids. We have been running multiple times and we ran 3 miles pushing 3 kids. So we are getting a work out. Each week we build up more miles. I am pretty sure I am going to do the 1/2 triathlon, but still thinking about the 1/2 marathon. I don't know we will see. The important thing is getting in shape.

Here is Maxten in his bike seat getting ready for a ride.

Rock Climbing Season

We are getting a jump start on everything this year. We have already been climbing twice and have only had two nice days. So you can only image how many time we would have gone if it were warmer. hehe The first time we went climbing we went to Heise. Corbin, Varr, Maxten, and I went although it was the busiest climbing day I have seen at Heise. We saw some friends up there and had a lot of fun.
The next time we went was last Saturday. The gang went, Varr, Paula, Ty, Kristie's family, and us. We went to a new place, it is out by Howe. I really liked the place, although it made me a little nervous. Those that know me I am terrified of snakes. Well, lets just say this new place just jumped out and said snake country more than even Heise. I can't believe that I am sharing this story with anyone because I am kind of embassed that I am so scared of snakes. We get there and I tell Corbin that he can't go any where without me. If I am at the bottom of the hill he has to come get me before I come up. Well, Corbin went up the hill and starts climbing and I am watching him from the bottom. The climbs were multi pitches so Corbin is up on top belaying, and is up there until someone comes and gets him. He told me to come up to climb. I wasn't going to go up there by myself, he promised. Well, it probably took we a good 15-20 mins to get up the courage and a lot of praying to go up there by myself. Well, I made it up there and around the cliffs without seeing a snake. I was very grateful for that.
But over all I really like the climbing routes. They were multi pitches and I had never climbed a multi pitch before. For those of you don't know a picth is a rope length. The climbs we did were about two rope lengths.
Here is pictures of Corbin and Varr climbing. You might not be able to find them at first but I wanted to show how high they are so they look tiny.

They are not even at the top yet! They are only in the first pitch!

Zoo!

Can you believe it we have all ready been to the Zoo this year! Maxten's cousin Joseph preschool was going to the Zoo for a field trip. We tagged a long for the ride.

Maxten's First Word

Maxten First Word: BALL besides mama and dada

How would you like this for 4 hours?

Maxten got this balloon for his birthday from Grandma Bybee. He loves it! He hardly ever gets bored with playing with it. He makes me laugh how fast he can get the balloon going. We have another video of him getting crazier with it and it is funnier but I say something really dumb so I did not post it. He really does not play with it for 4 hours straight but it's a inside joke. For those that know joke the title was for you! hehe

FHE

This week for FHE we read a story from the Friend about a little boy that thought no one loved him. His parents had been through a divorce and his mother got remarried and had twin boys. So you can probably could understand that this boy wasn't getting the attention he would of liked. Anyway, he went to church and his teacher told him that Jesus loves everyone. The Boy said "No he can't love everyone, he does not love me!" She told him that Jesus does love him and though his parents are busy they love him too. She said that Jesus will always love you no matter what! The boy was happy!
When the lesson was over we asked Maxten if he knew that Jesus loved him? He shook his head and said "No". It was really funny. But we reassure him that he is loved. Got to love FHE! Fun times!

Haven't Posted for a While Easter/Birthdays/Boise/ 12 months

This year was Maxten's first Easter. He loved playing with the eggs but most of all he really liked eating the candy. I know, I know we are terrible parents. He ate so much candy. The cousins all came to Grandma Snedaker's and had a easter egg hunt. It was really fun.

Happy Birthday! Maxten turn a year old! He shoved the cake in his mouth.

Maxten and I went to Boise and Twin Falls with Grandma and Grandpa Bybee to see family. It was Maxten first time really playing outside. He played with trucks, went down the slide, played with balls, and played with cousins. We really enjoyed ourselves and relized how much we miss our family that lives so far away.

We also went to Shoshone Falls. It had tons of water going over it and it was just so beautiful.

We haven't gotten around to getting professional pictures taken for Maxten 12 months pictures but here is a picture I really like of him at 12 months. My little boy is growing so fast. Makes me sad!

Wow I haven't posted for a while, this one is a long one!

My cute little guy who is not this small anymore. Brothers matching. Maxten always wants to where what his brother is wearing. More o...
